The Organization for Nonviolent Movements (ONM) has established collaborations with a number of donors and partners around the world.
Donors
ActionAid Denmark supports ONM as implementing partner of the REACT Research-in-Action collaboration, aiming to explore the power of activist writing for nonviolent movements committed to international human rights. REACT articles are housed on Minds of the Movement, the blog of the Center for Nonviolent Conflict Research (formerly the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict). ONM’s all-activist editorial team commissions human stories, research-action insights, and analysis, from activists wearing many hats (scholar-activist, activist-creative, investigative journalists…) across Latin America, Africa, and Asia. We commission articles in multiple languages and publish them in at least two languages, promoting multilingualism and better accessibility to non-English speakers. The target readership is primarily civil society leaders and grassroots, but also scholars and policymakers in ONM’s focus regions: France, Europe, Ukraine, and Africa.
ONM also receives donations from individuals primarily based in the United States and France. If you would like to make a donation, please see our dedicated page here.
Partners
ONM is a partner organization of the Center for Nonviolent Conflict Research (CNCR, formerly the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict), est. 2002 in the United States. CNCR is the world’s leading educational non-profit focusing on strategic nonviolent conflict. ONM benefitted from seed money from ICNC in 2025, before the latter became CNCR in January 2026.
ONM has since January 1, 2026 become completely autonomous in terms of funding and fundraising, and we are currently taking steps to expand our board and establish a scientific advisory to help steer ONM’s work. For more details, check out our Governance Structure page here.
We are privileged to cooperate with the following organizations on our French-language online course:

- Institut pour la Paix, founded in 2021, a Paris-based research institution that advances peace studies, exploring pluralistic peace practices.
- Non-violence XXI, founded in 2001, a Paris-based non-profit focusing on non-violence.
- Centre de ressources sur la non-violence, founded in 2001 and serving as an umbrella coalition of educational organizations on nonviolence and nonviolent action in France.
- LUCHA Lutte pour le changement, founded in 2012, a nonviolent movement for democracy and peace in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
- Centre de ressources sur la non-violence, founded in 2025, is a resource center on many topics in philosophical nonviolence and strategic nonviolent conflict.
With regard to our work on unarmed civilian-based defense, ONM is currently in conversations with numerous Ukrainian and European institutions to establish project-based partnerships. Our official partners as of February 2026 include:
- Modern Security Consulting Group MOSECON GmbH, founded in 2013, a Berlin-based counter-terrorism, security and international affairs consultancy.
